About Robert Fowler
I have a wonderful small family, my wife Nyla and one child- family is first for me. I am blessed to have an excellent educational background, as I have a Bachelors of Science in Political Science from MIT, Class of 1996, and I have a Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota Law School, Class of 1999.
Currently, I am an Assistant District Attorney here is St. Croix County, as a full-time prosecutor. I am in court every day trying to keep our community safe and ensuring justice is done for victims.
I have 26 years of experience as an attorney. Early in my career, I was an Assistant City and Town Attorney ranging from large metro area municipalities to small townships, where in addition to advising the city councils and town boards, I worked on zoning and ordinances, including enforcement and litigation. For 23 years I also represented law enforcement through the Fraternal Order of Police (the world’s largest law enforcement organization) for Minnesota. I have 23 years’ experience holding state and local governments accountable by ensuring they follow the rule of law. I was also formerly a prosecutor for the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office.
I also own and manage a part time agricultural business, Fowler Wine, which is new to Hudson Township, and in just 5 years has produced many national and international award-winning wines. Fowler Wine is heavily involved in the community, donating to countless charity fundraisers and church fundraisers.
I am personally involved in the community through several community organizations, including being an active Hudson Lions Club Member, and a Member of the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce. My interests outside of family and work include hunting, fishing, outdoor activities, and sports. I also love dogs- especially my Newfoundland pup Maggie Moo.
